“It Goes Both Ways.”
November 13, 2018
“I used to say there are such things as moral victories and he [a coach] would tell me that there weren’t. And I was like no, definitely there are because sometimes, even when you lose a game or you lose a case or fail a test or whatever, you still are accomplishing a lot if you’ve put in your best effort and you feel good about your actions about your task and the effort you have put into a task. Like, in volleyball, sometimes we play teams that are better than us, and I don’t necessarily think it’s a loss or a toll if we lose a game. I think a lot can be gained from that. I do think you can win. You can also win games and still technically lose them, so it goes both ways.”
