Congratulations, girls’ tennis, for not only breaking your sport’s record, but for also breaking Out of Door’s record! The girls have worked very hard since tennis season started, and boy, has it paid off!

The team is officially undefeated after they beat Saint Stephen’s high school. The varsity tennis team includes the two captains, Cheyenne Kerkes, ’13, and Savannah Sleight, ’13, as well as Caroline Daily, ’12, Caroline Whitten, ’14, Megan Jones, ’15 as well as many other female tennis professionals.

Here are the scores from the singles:

#1 seed Caroline Dailey won 6-1, 6-2; Distric and Regional Champion
#2 seed Maria Ross won 4-6, 6-1, (10-2 tie breaker); Distric and Regional Champion
#3 seed Alana Sherman won 6-2, 6-4; Distric and Regional Champion
#4 seed Savannah Sleight won 0-6, 6-6 (3-3) default; Distric runner-up and Regional champion
#5 seed Cheyenne Kerkes won 4-6, 6-2, (10-4 tie breaker); Regional Champion

Although Saint Stephen’s female varsity tennis team wished against playing doubles, Out-of-Door’s doubles teams are:

#2 seed Morgan Woods and Alana Sherman
