Banyan Ball Announcement!

The annual ODA Banyan Ball will be held Saturday, March 17th, 2012 at the Uihlein Campus. The event has been very successful in the past, raising over $350,000. The evening’s proceeds will help the school become bigger and better, and lead to facility enhancements and faculty development at Out-of-Door.

Parent support is crucial to making Out-of-Door a better place for future generations, so make sure your parents come out and support ODA! The event will be held on Saturday, St. Patrick’s Day, in the theme of “The Emerald Isle – A Claddagh Affair of Friendship, Love & Loyalty.” The school will be turning the Thunder Stadium into a historic Irish Castle for the evening, and the school will be auctioning off a trip to Ireland!

The live auction will certainly be a highlight of the evening, with a trip to Boston to see the Red Sox, a dinner with the Mahler’s on an “exclusive” island, and of course, the adorable Banyan Ball puppy.

Because Out-of-Door is an independent school and receives no government funding, parent support is vital to improving the quality of the school.

“We encourage you to make sure that your parents attend The Banyan Ball and raise their paddles high and often in support of our school,” said Dennis Chapman, who is a Chief Advancement Officer at Out-of-Door.

Be sure to remind your parents to wear green!
