ODA Parents Go Back to School

ODA Parents Go Back to School

When adults are asked if they could go back in time where would they go?  Many will say middle and high school. This Thursday, parents of ODA children will get to do just that.

Back-to-School night is a way for parents to meet teachers, and the other way around. Parents will be able to go around to each class and get to feel what each of their child’s classes are like.

Back-to-School night starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Thunderdome. After introductions in the Thunderdome, parents will report to their child’s Advisory.

While in Advisory, advisors will hand out schedules, and parents will then report to their child’s A period class. From their, parents will go to each class in the following order: A,B,C,D,H,E,F,G.

Each class will meet for nine minutes. Parents, no excuses for getting bored in a class, because it’s only nine minutes as opposed to your child’s 75 minute long classes on Wednesdays. In this time, teachers will give an overview of how they teach, and how they give grades.

In between classes, parents will only have three minutes to get to the next class, so moms, leave your stilettos at home.

The last class will end at 9:00 p.m., and parents will be dismissed from school.

Parents, after Thursday, you may understand why the response to your “How was your day” question, is always short and vague.
