Jazz Under The Stars Impresses Spectators

A warm, Florida breezes that cools to perfection after the sun sets.A turn-out that Jazz Band leader, Patrick Miller, calls “everything he could have hoped for.”

This week, ODA revived a favorite tradition in the arts: the annual culmination of months of early morning practice, a regime of hauling instruments and reading music. Jazz Concert Under the Stars.

Sophomore Rachel Rodgers says the the best was the last number, one called “Moaning.”

“The ending was unexpected and the note was kind of different, so everyone was just really listening. And in parts the musicians sang along. They all played well together. Josh Simon and Andrew Romano had some terrific solos too!”

We look forward to this tradition continuing. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the night so special.
