Juniors Start the College Search
January 22, 2013
Junior College Night is Wednesday, January 23 from 7:00 pm-8:30 pm in the Black Box.
As the Class of 2013 wraps up their final year and anticipates heading off to college, the Class of 2014 begins its journey.
In recent years, ODA’s College Counseling Department has adopted a new tool, Naviance. Naviance is a software program that gives students the ability to examine statistics for their college choices. Everything from average GPA to average SAT scores are listed on the site. Ultimately the program will help students make realistic choices about their college goals.
At this point, students have only been asked to add colleges that they are considering. Most are excited to see what Naviance has to say about how realistic those goals are. If you haven’t logged in, or are having trouble logging in, then see Mr. Runge or Mr. Salmon.
In this meeting, Mr. Runge and Mr. Salmon will be talking to the students and their parents about the college search and what to expect in the coming months. It is important for everyone to come!
You can go to Mr. Runge or Mr. Salmon if you have any questions.
