Stay Home with Some Stories… Great Video Binges for Break
February 20, 2016
Mid-Winter Break is now, and some students will be going on a vacation to and exotic place or maybe going skiing in Colorado. Those of us who aren’t so fortunate to make these wonderful trips, will be staying at home.
There is still something to do, though. The internet is laden with great drama. You can easily spend a possibly unhealthy amount of time watching your screen.
Here are some student favorites.
Narcos (Netflix)
“It shows the gritty atmosphere surrounding the south american drug trade.”
-Senior Vaughn Garcia
NCIS (CBS Online)
“Dude, I watched like six seasons of that over the summer.”
-Sophomore Phillip Cecil
Soccer (Anywhere)
“I just like it.”
-Junior Jake Flanders, while watching Europa League in free period.
Blue Mountain State (Netflix)
“I enjoy watching it because it’s what I’m most looking forward to in college, I watched two and a half seasons in one weekend.”
-Sophomore Kevin Bernet
Criminal Minds (Netflix)
“I like that moment when they find the criminal.”
-Junior Najee Rhodes
Rick and Morty (Hulu)
“It’s satirical about society, it makes you think, and it’s also really funny.”
-Junior Christian MacCarthy
Orange is the New Black (Netflix)
“It shows prison life in a funny atmosphere.”
-Junior Vaughn Garcia
Arrow (Netflix)
“The actors are great and it keeps you on the edge of your seat.”
-Sophomore Hunter Chalhub
House of Cards (Netflix)
“It demonstrates the lengths to which politics can inspire actions.”
-Junior Vaughn Garcia
The Man in the High Castle (Amazon Prime)

Don’t feel bad if you don’t have extravagant plans for break. With no homework or early morning alarm clock, make plans to stay in bed and indulge yourself in some good screen time.
