The roster and castings are out for this year’s fall productions, as the ODA Theatre Department begins its 15th season.
This year the middle school musical will be Into the Woods: a collection of fairy tales brought together into a single story.
Middle school student, Victor Marcano states, “I’m so excited about the fall musical! I can’t wait to be a part of such a great theatre program!”
Also in the fall, the theater department hopes to produce the play Love: As She Likes It, an adaptation of the Shakespeare play As You Like It.
And as if that wasn’t enough, the high school also will produce a play called Look Closer: a Night of Theatre in the fall, directed by our very own senior Cammy Harris.
“It’s a very dynamic show that uses a lot of the facets of the theater arts that have been under-used, and I am excited to bring something a little bit different to the school,” says Harris.
The play consists of a collection of 5 to 10 minute plays. The play has an all senior cast and crew.
“I am very excited to work with a new set of cast members. We are going to have to work hard in order to successfully produce these productions, but with the talent we have, I am looking forward to another fun year,” says Ms. Evans, Art Department Chair.
“I think there is a lot of talent in the school right now, and the program is going in very interesting artistic direction,” says Harris.
With high spirits, the theater department is ready to launch another strong year. Rehearsals start next week.
