Ms. Fafalios Walks Down the Aisle

Over the long winter break, students went on vacations, spent time with family, and relaxed. But for faculty member, Ms. Fafalios, this winter break (December 28th, specifically) was the most memorable day of her life.

Surrounded by red roses, ivory, green, and gold, Ms. Fafalios walked down the aisle to marry her fiancé, Jason Sears. It was a beautiful event to be shared with family and friends. There was plenty of food, sweets, and smiles to go around.

They feasted on mahi-mahi, chicken, wild rice, and vegetables. Not only was the main course decadent, but their cake was three different layers consisting of chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, raspberry, and of course, more chocolate and more vanilla. It was said to be a “masterpiece.”

Ms. Fafalios says, “The planning process was fun, but required a lot of work and was very time consuming.”

In the year 2000, Jason and Ms. Fafalios first crossed paths at the University of South Florida. It was destiny that they would begin dating, a short four years later, as they were set up by their friends.

“He is intelligent, thoughtful, funny and kind, ” reflects Ms. Fafalios.

Now that the wedding is over, the newlyweds plan to go on their honeymoon this summer to either California or New England.

Congratulations, Ms. Fafalios. ODA wishes you both best of luck for a healthy and happy marriage.
