Thunder “Fund” Day

Thunder+Fund+Day

Every year ODA hosts a day of adventure, creativity and entertainment.  The whole community comes together for games, laughter and enjoyment. It is a true day of fun.  It’s Thunder Fun Day! But is it just a day of fun or is it also a day of fund?

Every event or game hosted on Thunder Fun day actually has a slight charge. You must buy tickets in order to be able to explore these awesome fun-filled games. At the end of the day ODA raises around an average of about $20,000. Where does this money go?

Ms. Fineberg, a very enthusiastic and helping volunteer for the ODA community, and also a big contributor to Thunder Fun day discussed what the event is truly about. “Thunder Fun Day is designed to provide a fun and safe family event for our school community. Held at our Uihlein Campus in Lakewood Ranch, this school fair includes games, inflatables, a craft tent, a food tent, Upper School class booths and much more.”

“Funds raised for the event come from many sources:  sponsorship opportunities to local businesses and ODA families, selling t-shirts, and through the sale of tickets and food on the day of the event. The proceeds will be used to benefit students through a variety of Parent Association sponsored programs and events.”

Thunder Fun Day is always held in November every year. The reason it’s not the same day every year is because the weekend may change depending on other school events that may be going on.

This year Thunder Fun Day will take place November 8th. Come out! Have fun! Support your community! It is all for a good cause.
