School News
- As of next week, students can once again begin to submit their community service hours to Seholo. Each student has to fulfill a requirement of 25 hours per year. Start looking for opportunities, especially off the ODA campus!
- SALT (Student Admission Leadership Team) application go out today. Make sure to fill them out, it’s a great opportunity to get involved in the ODA community.
- A correction in Monday’s news: the new student council representatives are all co-presidencies.
Club News
- There is a new addition to the student clubs, Chess Club!
- If you intend to run to be an NHS officer, email Mr. Lemieux or Ms. Frye. Speeches will be given Monday at lunch, and all NHS members need to be present.
- It’s not to late to join Calliope Corner! If you missed the lunch meeting today and have an interest in creative writing, see Emma Henson or Morgan Woods for more information.
Sports News
- Girl’s varsity volleyball has an away game tonight at Sarasota Christian.
- The cross country team leaves at 1:30 today for a meet in Orlando.
- Varsity football has an away game tonight against Cavalry Christian.

- Saturday, September 28 is the high school dodgeball tournament at Jump & Fun. Start getting your teams together now!
- Homecoming committee will be starting their meetings next week. For more information on getting involved with planning homecoming, see Emma Holland.
- The annual homecoming t-shirt design contest has started! All you have to do is design an idea for this year’s homecoming t-shirt based on the following guidelines:
- All designs must include the school name Out-of-Door Academy.
- All designs must include Homecoming 2013.
- Print size is 10″ x 10″ front and back.
- Designs should be no more than two colors.
- No sleeve or shoulder prints.
- The winner will receive a 50$ cash prize. All submissions are due no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, September 13. Please turn them in to Katie Lang.
