Town Hall Lecture Series Welcomes ODA Seniors

Stephani Spindel, Editor-in-Chief

Every year the Ringling College Library Assosciation hosts an event called the “Town Hall Lecture Series”. The series began in 1981, and every year since then has featured world leaders in a variety of subjects.

This years speakers are Walter Isaacston, Tom Brokaw, Dr. Robert Gates, Jacqueline Novogratz, Dr. Benjamin Carson, and Captain Mark Kelly. If you would like to learn more about any of the previous people, feel free to check out Ringling’s website, which features a short biography for every speaker.

This year, 24 lucky ODA seniors have been provided with the opportunity to attend the lecture of their choice. Sign up sheets are in Ms. Evan’s office, and spots will be given on a first come first serve basis. So, seniors, if you would like to attend this years Town Hall Lecture Series, stop by Ms. Evan’s office ASAP. Rumor has it, all of the spots have already been filled, but there is a waiting list, so if you didn’t get a spot, don’t dispair. To those of you who haveĀ receivedĀ a spot, and later realized you are not able to attend, please let Ms. Evans know so that other students have the opportunity to attend!
