Thunder Stadium Will be a Sea of White

Max Provost, Staff Writer, Sports Page

This Friday night is the Thunder football’s first home game in Thunder Stadium. ODA will be playing Saint John Newman at 7:00 p.m. The stadium should be packed with fans! All the fans are asked to wear white because it is a White Out game!

What is a “White Out,” you ask? White Out’s started at Penn State University in 2005 at a game against Ohio State. The season was down and fans wanted an original way to show their support for their team. Fans were asked to wear white to create a spectacle in the stands. The scene was so awesome that ESPN news said the student fan section was “the best in the country.”

Two years ago, ODA hosted its first White Out for the first game in our new Thunder Stadium. Everyone who was there said the support for the team was powerful. Tonight, we plan to create the same show of ODA pride.

Our school store, the Thor Store, sells ODA apparel–including white stuff–and will be open daily from 2:30 to  3:30.

So tonight…do like everybody else in the school. Come to Thunder Stadium at 7:00 to  show your support for ODA…and wear white!

Go Thunder!
