Girls Varsity Lacrosse Expects Big Results This Year

In the past two years, many Florida high schools have added lacrosse into their sports programs. The Women’s Varsity Lacrosse team at ODA has been improving in every season and has high aspirations to win districts this year.

The players are very confident with the way they have been practicing, and plan to get better and better each week they step on the field.

Captains, Jordan Brown ’14 and Kimmy Comito ’15 lead the team of talented athletes. The girls’ team consists of 12 upperclassmen, and 14 underclassmen.

“The majority of the team is young,” junior, Taylor Albano said. “Even though we are a young, this is still a great team and we all play with a lot of heart.”

Junior Captain, Kimmy Comito said, “We have been working really hard these past couple weeks, so I’m really hoping that we will perform to our potential and get our first win against SMA.”

The Lady Thunder will play Tuesday night at 6 p.m. in the Premier Sports Complex in LWR.  On Wednesday the Thunder will take on Berkeley Prep at ODA at 4:00.

Make sure you wish them good luck. Better yet, check them out on the field.

Go Thunder!
