Emma Roberts Illuminates SFF’s Red Carpet

May 3, 2013
The writing staff at The ODA Bolt weren’t the only ones to be recognized at last month’s Sarasota’s Film Festival. Seventh grader Emma Roberts was also awarded a plaque in honor of her critique of the Argentinian short film “Luminaris.”
Introduced to Classroom Critic by her English teacher, Ms. Corley, Emma was one of seven students county-wide to have her review selected and published in The Observer‘s Classroom Critic.
Classroom Critic is a branch of Sarasota Film Festival’s youthFEST and seeks to educate students county-wide on the importance of film through creative critique and original writing.
This was Emma Robert’s first time working with SFF, but says she would be more than willing to work with SFF again. Adding that walking down the red carpet made her “feel like a real celebrity.”
Congratulations, Emma! You’re making ODA proud.
