Savannah Alario: Determined Athlete

March 28, 2016
“In October I found out I had to get surgery on my shoulder. This was very upsetting because I knew I wasn’t going to row for the rest of the season. The worst part about this was that it was happening during my junior year, the most important year in the college recruitment process. In December after my surgery I was given a 6 month recovery time, but I was able to knock it down to 3. Two weeks ago I started rowing again and it has been going well; I raced last weekend and got first which was pretty exciting. I don’t plan on racing in districts or states because I am so far behind in training so my training for the rest of the season is mainly getting back into shape and getting my strength up.”
