Summer Soon Softens for the Return of Fall Sports

Back to school early for fall athletes!
Here are the schedules for upcoming sports:
Swimming
Head Coach: Michael Salmon
“Swim is super fun. It’s a great way to get involved in an up and rising sport,” says senior swimmer, Evalee Mason.
Our motto is: Every swimmer counts, every swim counts, and every point counts. If you’re athletic and looking for a sport that will test your abilities and limits, you will definitely want to consider swimming for the fall season. Swimming provides the opportunity for students to work on their wellness, strength and endurance.” says Coach Salmon
Time and place where tryouts occur: August 1 at Serendipity Pool, 4 pm.
Practices occur from:4-6pm
Football
Head Coach: Ken Sommers
“ODA Thunder Football wants you! We are looking forward to a great season in our second year in the Sunshine State Athletic Conference.”
Time and place where tryouts occur: August 1 at 9:00 a.m. in ODA Thunderdome, Team Room.
Cheerleading
Head Coach: Lara Tello
“It is a very team oriented sport, that allows to bond a lot.”
Time and place where tryouts occur: Takes place in May occurs for two week
Practice schedule: Monday through Thursday from 3:30-5:45, Games on Friday (travel with the football team)
Volleyball
Head Coach: Stefanie Betz
“Volleyball is a great community. It really bonds you to other students.”
“Our program is great for all levels of play whether highly competitive or just looking for fun, says varsity player Adelaide Mahler.
“The comraderie is amazing. Our sport has the greatest number of athletes in the smallest amount of space. We have to work well together,” says varsity player Kinsey Newhams.
Tryouts: August 1 in the Thunderdome
Practice schedule: every day after school.
