Putting Some Jazz into Ovation
Would you voluntarily get up every Wednesday morning to be at school by 7 a.m? The ODA Upper School jazz band does just that.
This past Wednesday, the ODA Jazz Band performed during Ovation, showing off their hard work and dedication. They performed several songs that included “Big Noise from Winnetka,” “Birth of a Band,” and “Groove Broker.”
Two of the songs featured senior Andrew Romano on saxophone, and one of the songs featured his brother junior Nick Romano on drums.
Junior Taylor Albano said, “I really liked Nick’s drum solo.”
Junior Jenna Bloch, also a talented drummer in the band, said, “I think everyone did a great job.”

Throughout the year, the jazz band will be preforming at different venues as well as a winter concert at ODA.
