Madeline, a senior, has a passion for writing. Seeing a story in everyone and everything, she fell perfectly into the role of The Bolt’s Editor-in-Chief. Madeline is an avid reader who loves to disappear into another world and another story. Reading and writing have always been a big part of her life. As a four year member of The Bolt staff she loves sharing those passions with others.

Angela Donnelly
Angela, a senior, is a returning member of the Bolt staff. She has a passion for writing and investigative work. She is a member of the basketball and track teams, along with being an editor of the yearbook. Angela also enjoys skiing, traveling, and reading. She plans to study psychology in order to pursue a career in the psychiatric field.

Charlie Githler
Charlie, a junior, is a photographer and staff reporter for The Bolt. He enjoys international travel, music, running, and tennis. He also volunteers at the YMCA, spending his Friday afternoons helping the staff at the front desk. Charlie is looking forward to contributing and developing his skills in journalism class.

Joseph Grano
Joseph, a senior,is head of the athletic department at The Bolt. This is his second year with The Bolt, and he has worked and written professionally for the Western New York Flash Women’s Professional Soccer Team. In the future, Joseph wants to major in business and looks for a career in either entrepreneurship or sports management.

Harrison Lempriere
Harrison, a senior, is a first-year member of the journalism class. He is The Bolt’s top graphics designer and also works with the “Thunderclap” podcast. Harrison also plays on both the varsity football and soccer teams. He hopes to pursue a career in actuarial science, a mathematical evaluation of risks.

Joshua, a senior, is photographer for The Bolt, this is his first year with the paper. He enjoys many hobbies including wake-boarding, longboarding, and running. Josh is on the Swim Team and the Track Team. He hopes to major in Hospitality Management.

Ashley Munroe
Ashley, a sophomore, is serving her first year on The Bolt staff. She is a member of the school tennis team, and plays the violin in the school orchestra. She also plays with the Sarasota Youth Orchestra, and wishes to continue her music on a college level. She also acts in many of The Out-of-Door Academy theater productions; her most memorable role was as a dancer in Guys and Dolls. Ashley has a love of writing, and wants to continue as a member of The Bolt throughout her high school experience.

Brian, a senior, is spending his last year involved with the journalism class working to develop the “ThunderClap” podcast, which recaps the football games and focuses on all Out-of-Door Academy sports. He also plays on the football team as a defensive and offensive lineman. He plans to follow a career in the field of business.

Wyatt, a junior, has been attending The Out-of-Door Academy since the he was seven. He is thrilled to be a part of the journalism team and has a mission to make this year revolutionary for The Bolt. His favorite things to do when he’s not writing world-class articles is lifting weights, discovering new house music that’s prime for jammin’, and hanging out with friends.

Christina, a senior, has been working on The Bolt for two years. She has been attending The Out-of-Door Academy for fourteen years and has a passion for drawing and painting with various medium with a particular love for drawing people. Christina runs 2 miles everyday, with a Lady Gaga as background, to prepare for the upcoming track season.

Max Provost
Max, a sophomore, is in his first year of journalism. This year is his second year at The Out-of-Door Academy. He moved to the sunshine state of Florida from the hockey Mecca of Canada two years ago and has loved it since. Max plans to write great stories you really want to hear. He is an overall sportsman and currently plays on varsity football as a linebacker and on varsity track & field.

Cassandra Ratzlaff
Cassandra, a sophomore, is in her second year on The Bolt‘s staff. She is an Irish dance champion and has been dancing for 11 years. Although she is not Irish, a Russian Romanian in fact, she enjoys this form of dancing and the culture it brings to her family. Cassandra has a passion to write, which is the reason she has joined the journalism class each year. Being a quiet person, she loves writing as it allows her to express herself. She does not know what she wants to be in the future, but she is hoping she will one day find the perfect career that inspires all her interests.

Stephani Spindel
Stephani Spindel is a sixteen-year-old student journalist at Out-of-Door Academy. Stephani is co-editor of the Bolt, as well as captain of O.D.A.’s junior varsity tennis team, and she spends her time volunteering at Mote Marine Laboratory. She has a passion for writing and hopes to follow a journalism career in college.
